Dr Morgane Gay-Bianco Faculty manager – histoire francophone et germanophone

Dr Morgane Gay-Bianco has been Faculty Manager of the Faculty of History since February 2021. She supports the Dean’s Office in the development of the faculty and serves as the primary point of contact for the teaching teams across the three programmes. She also manages the faculty’s communication and scientific outreach, and oversees the administration of modules related to bachelor’s and master’s final projects.

Dr Marie Moulin Student Mobility Officer

Dr Marie Moulin has been a scientific collaborator at the Student Mobility Office since August 2026. She is responsible for establishing, implementing, and ensuring the proper functioning of student mobility at UniDistance Suisse, and oversees both case management and student support. She has also been the coordinator of the Master’s programme in History since August 2024. She is the contact person for elective modules. She is also responsible for the internship and scientific event modules and acts as a bridge between the Faculty of History and its partner institutions.

Aurore Müller worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UniDistance Suisse since 2023, affiliated with Prof. Dr. Sabine Pitteloud's research group. She also holds positions as a senior researcher at the University of Lausanne and a research associate at the University of Geneva.

Yvonne Schüpbach is a postdoctoral researcher in the research group Inclusion and Exclusion in European Societies of the 20th Century, led by Prof. Dr. Christina Späti.  Her research focuses on critical gender and body history in the fields of sports, welfare, poverty, health, and ageing.

Shaun Yajima (Watanabe) Visiting researcher

Shaun Yajima (Watanabe), a PhD candidate in Economic History at the University of Tokyo and TU Bergakademie Freiberg, has been awarded the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship. From September 2026, he will spend one year as a visiting researcher at the Faculty of History at UniDistance Suisse, where he will collaborate with Prof. Dr Sabine Pitteloud.
