How do I register? Follow the stages of the registration process
a. Prepare your documents
We recommend that you have your details and documents at hand when completing the online registration form, as you will need to enter them into the system.
b. Fill in the registration form online
In order to register, you must first create a Switch eduID account (if you do not already have one). Switch eduID is an authentication procedure used by all Swiss universities. Please enter your private email address as your main contact, as this will remain valid even after you have left UniDistance Suisse.
You will later use your Switch eduID login details to log in to our various online platforms. Please save the password you create, as you will need it later.
Once you have created your account, you can complete the registration form. Filling it out involves several steps where you can fill in all your details: Choice of programme, personal details, degrees entitling you to access, uploading documents.
c. Print out the confirmation of registration
At the end of the form, you will find a document entitled «Confirmation of Registration». This will also be sent to you by e-mail. It must be printed out, dated, signed and sent, together with your documents, before the registration deadline. No application will be processed without these documents.
d. Send in your application
Send a paper copy of all your documents and degrees/diplomas by post, in one envelope, to the following address:
In German or English:
UniDistance Suisse
Student Services
Schinerstrasse 18
3900 Brig
In French:

If parts of your application are missing, we will be unable to process it.
You will then receive either a request for additional information if required, or a provisional confirmation of admission together with an invoice for the fees for the first semester.
This invoice must be paid within the stipulated period.
Final confirmation of your registration will take place as soon as your payment has been received.
You are officially matriculated from the first day of the semester (spring semester: February 1st / fall semester: August 1st ).
As this procedure is relatively lengthy, we strongly encourage you to allow sufficient time for processing your application so that you can receive all your documents and access details before the start of the course.
Withdrawing your application
You can withdraw your application before the beginning of the semester. However, an administrative fee will be charged. More details can be found in the Fees Rules (in French and German).

Frequently asked questions about registration and admission at UniDistance Suisse
For our French-language courses, applicants must demonstrate excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written, corresponding to level C1 and validated by a language certificate recognised by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Candidates whose mother tongue is not French but who have completed secondary or post-secondary education in French, as attested by a diploma, are exempt from this requirement. The same exemption applies to individuals who have completed at least one year of university education in French, as attested by a transcript of records.
For programmes taught in English, knowledge of this language is not assessed at the time of admission. We recommend a C1 level.
In addition, it is recommended that you have a basic knowledge of the following languages, depending on the programme (understanding of texts in this language):
Law: level B2 in German
Psychology and Bachelor's degree in Economics: level B2 in English
History: level B2 in German and English
You do not need such a permit because you are not required to be a resident in Switzerland to study with us. Your nationality plays no role in your admission. Only the formal criteria outlined in the Admission Regulations are considered.
Holders of foreign diplomas may be admitted provided that the diploma obtained is recognised as equivalent to those set out in article 8, paragraph 1 of the Admission Regulations. You will find our admission requirements by country of origin of the diploma in Annex B of these regulations.
UniDistance Suisse offers two academic starts per year for its Bachelor's and Master's degrees. You can register until May 31st for the autumn semester and until November 30th for the spring semester (the date of the postmark on the registration document shall be taken as proof).
In order to process your registration request, we require the original copy of your diploma. If you no longer have it in your possession, we will need a duplicate, which you can obtain directly from the institution that issued it.
First, make sure you meet the admission requirements for the programme you wish to pursue. Then, fill out the online registration form. You'll need to upload your previous diplomas and various other documents. If everything is in order, you will be provisionally admitted and receive a confirmation of enrollment along with an invoice. Once the invoice is settled, you are officially admitted and can start your studies.
You can use our online registration form to provide us with the necessary information and submit documents (e.g. for a request for equivalence).
Once the online registration has been finalised, you will have to send by post the dated and signed confirmation of registration as well as the certified copy or copies or the originals of your access degrees.
UniDistance Suisse will only process applications once they have been received by post.
