The research work of Gaëlle Molinari deals with learning – individual and collaborative – mediated by computer (technology-enhanced learning and computer-supported collaborative learning). She is currently interested in the role of emotions in distance learning, as well as factors that influence commitment and perseverance in online training arrangements. She works in conjunction with IT researchers specialised in Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), and in the processing of affective data (affective computing).
