The research group is dedicated to current topics of economic criminal law and digitalisation with a special focus on the areas of asset forfeiture, whistleblowing, industrial and economic espionage, climate criminal law, restorative justice as well as the area of criminal law and new technologies.

In addition, Prof. Dr. Cathrine Konopatsch, Dr. iur. Martin Brandenstein, Asha Thamotharampillai and Cedric Röschli work on various publications and conference contributions in the areas of whistleblowing, industrial espionage, corporate criminal law, asset forfeiture, climate criminal law, restorative justice, AI, and criminal law.
