« Pursuing my studies remotely was a natural choice. »
« I have been ski-racing since I was very young, and I followed a school course designed for sportsmen and women. Indeed, before starting my studies at UniDistance Suisse, I attended highschool in Brig, where a sports course is available. I learned the discipline required to succeed in my studies, while performing at a sporting level. From then on, I knew precisely what was waiting for me when I started my university education remotely.
UniDistance Suisse offers me the freedom of study that I need, since I can advance the subject at my own pace, where I want and at any time. I can vary my working hours according to my training and my competitions.
With my sporting commitments and my many trips, it would be impossible for me to carry out ‘standard’ studies while remaining competitive on skis. However, good organisation combined with rigour is essential for successful distance learning. The workload remains substantial and requires a great deal of investment.
It is stimulating to meet the other students during the grouping sessions. Although these sessions enable us above all to deepen and perfect our knowledge thanks to discussions with the teachers, the contact with the other students motivates me to learn when I am working on my own.
I am grateful to UniDistance Suisse for offering the opportunity for people like me to study, who have a schedule that is incompatible with a ‘normal’ university course. »
