On Saturday, September 27, 2025, UniDistance Suisse proudly celebrated 380 graduates at the Simplonhalle in Brig. Around 600 guests, including many children of the graduates, contributed to the warm and festive atmosphere of the event.

In her address, Patricia Constantin, President of the Valais Grand Council, highlighted: “UniDistance Suisse embodies a modern and inclusive vision of higher education. In a world that is constantly changing, this institution is a gateway to knowledge for everyone. Valais can be proud to host such an institution, which acts as a bridge between regions and an accelerator of equal opportunities.”

Psychology and Law Leading the Way

This year, the Faculty of Psychology took the spotlight with 160 degrees awarded, while the Faculty of Law also showed strong growth, with 110 graduates.

According to Yves Rey, Head of the Higher Education Office of the Canton of Valais, the success of UniDistance Suisse reflects a growing need: “Learning is not a privilege reserved for the young. Lifelong learning has become essential today. UniDistance Suisse’s study model - flexible in terms of location and schedule - fits perfectly with the demands of lifelong education.”

Looking Ahead

With more than 2,600 students, UniDistance Suisse continues to strengthen its role in the Swiss academic landscape. At the same time, the University of Valais project - set to become reality in 2028 - is steadily
moving forward.

This year’s graduation ceremony once again showed how UniDistance Suisse’s flexible study model empowers people from all walks of life. With the support of their families, they can pursue their academic dreams while balancing careers, family responsibilities, or even athletic commitments.
