About Dr. Eveline Geiser

Bridging the Gap: From Scientific Rigor to Impactful Communication

Dr. Eveline Geiser is a neuroscientist and communication expert dedicated to making science accessible to the public. She honed her scientific expertise at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and later served as a group leader at the University of Lausanne, where she holds a Habilitation (PD). Her research combined cutting-edge methods in neuroscience, including AI-driven neuroimaging, focusing on the fundamental markers of cognitive efficiency.

As a former senior research scientist in R&D at Nestlé, she developed clinical research streams to foster brain health across the lifespan through nutritional interventions. Beyond the laboratory, Dr. Geiser has become a voice in science journalism. As a staff writer and editor for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), she specializes in making intricate scientific developments engaging for a broader audience; her op-eds and series, such as Inside the Brain, have been widely acclaimed.

In her Science Communication Workshops, Dr. Geiser empowers students and early-career researchers to step outside the "academic bubble". By combining her pedagogical experience as a university lecturer and teacher with professional insights from science journalism, she provides participants with the practical tools needed to confidently communicate their research.
