To strengthen and develop our Human Resources department, we are looking for an experienced and committed colleague as Human Resources Specialist (80-100%).

UniDistance Suisse, as an accredited university institute in accordance with the Swiss Higher Education Act (HEdA), offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees programmes and continuing education and training programmes in the faculties of Law, Psychology, Mathematics and Computer Science, Economics and History. These programmes can be attended in parallel with family life, professional or sporting career, in a flexible distance learning model.

UniDistance Suisse was founded in 1992 and is dedicated to the highest quality standards in teaching and research. With more than 2300 students, it is the leading institution in the field of distance education in Switzerland. Out of 420 employees, almost 350 are involved in teaching and research activities.

Human Resources Specialist (80-100%)

Place of work: Brig (part-time home-office possible)
Start of work: immediately or by arrangement
Type of contract: unlimited
 

Your tasks


Recruitment

  • Management of recruitment processes for administrative and academic positions.
  • Support and advice to department heads and faculties on recruitment requests.
  • Preparation of job advertisements and cooperation with the Communications Department for their publication.
  • Screening applications, organising and monitoring interviews.
  • Analysing and monitoring the various recruitment channels, specialist websites, magazines and recruitment agencies.
  • Coordinating recruitment, job offers and introduction plans for new employees.
  • Updating the Careers page on our website and developing the LinkedIn page in cooperation with the Communications Department.

Projects

  • Leading and/or coordinating HR projects to develop, digitalize and improve key processes (recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, offboarding, etc.).
  • Participation in various implementation projects at institution-wide level.
     

Your profile

  • Specialised background such as a Federal diploma or Bachelor's degree, or other title deemed equivalent in the HR field; any continuing education is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years' professional HR experience, ideally in higher education or in a university.
  • Project management experience; training in that field is an advantage.
  • Languages: very good spoken and written command of French or German, with good knowledge of the other language; command of English a real asset.
  • Good command of the usual software, as well as specific HR tools (we work with Odoo and Abacus).
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, organised and determined.
  • Service-oriented, with good interpersonal skills and organisational flair.
