In her award-winning dissertation, entitled “Forced Marriage – An Analysis from the Perspective of International Law and Human Rights”, supervised by Prof Dr Helen Keller, Prof Dr Andrea Büchler and Prof Dr Brigitte Tag, Dr Sivaganesan examines the legal and human rights dimensions of forced marriage in six countries across Europe and Asia. This thesis represents a major contribution to research in international law as well as to the protection of the rights of women and individuals affected by forced marriages. The work was published by Schulthess Editions.
