Professors, mid-level academic staff, and students from our faculty took part in the 2025 Swiss Congress of Historical Sciences, confirming UniDistance Suisse’s presence in the national academic landscape and highlighting the concrete contribution of our master’s programme in developing research skills and fostering participation in scholarly life.
Held every three years, the Swiss Congress of Historical Sciences are a key gathering for historians in Switzerland. The 2025 edition, organised by the "Schweizerisiche Gesellschaft für Geschichte / Société Suisse d'Histoire" and hosted by the University of Lucerne in July, brought together several hundred researchers around the theme “(Un)sichtbarkeit / (In)visibilité,” reflecting the richness and dynamism of current historical research.
Beyond the scientific contributions of its teaching staff (see list below), our faculty is particularly pleased with the involvement of its students. As part of the Scientific event module of the master’s in history, Gérard Bottazzoli prepared two reports published on the platform infoclio.ch. This experience exemplifies the practical orientation of our curriculum, which promotes participation in academic events, networking within the scholarly community, the development of writing and synthesis skills, and the dissemination of historical knowledge in public spaces.
