Raul Wildbolz-Gallego is a doctoral researcher in the research group Political History of Capitalism, headed by Prof. Dr. Sabine Pitteloud.
Raul Wildbolz-Gallego is a doctoral research assistant at UniDistance Suisse, writing his thesis in a cotutelle arrangement with the University of Geneva. After completing his Bachelor in History-Economy-Society (now Economic History and Political Economy) at the University of Geneva, he pursued a Master’s degree in International Economic History at the same institution. His master’s thesis, titled “Profit and Risk in the Late Merchant Capitalism: the Soliers in the Spanish Colonial Market”, was supervised by Prof. Pilar Nogues-Marco. His primary research interests focus on the history of capitalism, particularly financial capitalism from a transnational perspective. For his doctoral thesis, supervised by Prof. Sabine Pitteloud, he will further explore the history of Swiss capitalism.
