Lydia Kalbermatter studied law at the Universities of Zurich and Deusto (Bilbao), obtaining a Licentiate in Law (lic. iur.) and a Master of Law (MLaw). Since 2024, she has been a member of Professor Dr. Nula Frei’s team. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation in administrative law, focusing on the labour market admission of third-country nationals.
Prior to joining UniDistance Suisse, Lydia Kalbermatter gained extensive experience in first-instance administrative case law, the legal support of parliamentary affairs, and legislative drafting. Her professional background includes positions at the District Court of Meilen (Canton of Zurich), the Department of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, the University of Zurich, and the Office for Internal and Municipal Affairs of the Canton of Valais. Her primary area of interest lies in the integration of expert knowledge within administrative law, encompassing both administrative practice and judicial proceedings.
