E-MailShe obtained her bachelor's degree in Contemporary History and Slavic Studies and her master's degree in European Studies at the University of Fribourg. Her master's thesis focuses on the European Confederation, a French proposal that was rejected, notably by the FRG.
Her doctoral thesis explores the themes addressed in her master's thesis in greater depth and focuses on the relations between François Mitterrand and the German Democratic Republic. She engages in a profound reflection on the former French president's position towards the GDR between 1971 and 1991, in order to grasp the implications for his relations with the FRG and its European partners.
Her main research topics are Franco-German relations, France-GDR relations, the history of the Cold War, and European integration.
