Prof. Dr Cathrine Konopatsch has been part of the Faculty of Law at UniDistance Suisse since 2019, where she has distinguished herself through her dedicated teaching and interdisciplinary research in the field of economic and corporate criminal law. Her academic career began in Austria at Karl-Franzens University of Graz, where she earned her doctorate with a dissertation on cartel law. She also completed a postgraduate program in European law at Danube University Krems.
In addition to her academic work, Prof. Dr Cathrine Konopatsch was appointed to the Swiss Federal Gaming Board in February 2024 – a testament to her broad expertise and commitment to regulation and compliance.
As part of her promotion, Prof. Dr Cathrine Konopatsch will deliver a public inaugural lecture during the 2025 fall semester. The exact date and topic will be announced in due course.
