In addition to teaching through distance learning, various research groups are also active at UniDistance Suisse. The chEERS Lab, led by Prof. Andrea Samson, is currently looking for a new team member to work on a project on humour and emotion regulation as:
PhD or postdoc position in psychology in the domain of affective sciences (50-75%)
Place of work: Brig, Switzerland and home office
Start of work: April 1st, 2025 or to be determined
Your tasks
- Project on humour and emotion regulation: project planning, designing and implementing experimental tasks, recruiting participants, data analysis, disseminating the findings (scientific publications, conferences).
- Collaboration with other researchers and contribution to team projects.
- Possibility of assisting in a Master’s level course on socio-emotional processes in the Francophone Masters’ programme each fall semester (25%).
Your profile
- A dynamic, committed and socially competent person who is comfortable with organisational activities, working in teams and leading children, adolescents and young adults through our research protocol.
- Research experience is an advantage, excellent methodological skills and statistical knowledge, proficiency in quantitative research methods and data analysis.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); German or French speaking is an advantage (the latter especially when involved in teaching).
- Master's degree or PhD in Psychology or a closely related field.
