Workshop: Organised Business and Environmental Governance in Western Europe after 1945

The idea for this talk originates from the many times that the organizers found themselves in front of people puzzled by the fact that it is possible to do research in (public) law. Not a hard science, (generally) not retrieving data or applying statistics or other social sciences’ methods to explain societal phenomena, not archival research, not pure philosophical speculation, this is a discipline interested in the law. But what can one say about the law that is not already evident in the texts? Do not we already have too many lawyers in this world? So, what does a researcher in (public) law do? This talk will be the opportunity to discuss all you dare ask on research on (public) law and the chance for the organizers to give their definitive reply to these questions and unburden of their impostor syndrome once and for all. This event may at the end pave the way for better mutual understanding among different disciplines and possible future interdisciplinary collaborations.
